On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of De Rotterdamse Academie van Bouwkunst 4 students – including myself – were asked to design a book to celebrate 50 years of the best academy of The Netherlands in the city of architecture: Rotterdam.
The book is divided into seven themes which together give shape to the DNA of the academy. To guide the reader as efficient as possible through the book the different articles have been linked to one another based on these themes. This gives the reader the opportunity to map out their reading order according to their own interests. The book challenges the reader to do so also on a visual level, the linking system gives a sneak peek into the pages that follow. That is efficient, but it mostly challenges you to read the book in a different way and come up with new links.
